Engraving is the incision of a design onto a hard, flat surface, by cutting grooves, etching, or marking an object. This technique can be very technical and complex, and a computer system is used to engrave complicated designs or emblems. Despite this complexity, very precise and clean engravings can be achieved. Here at presentation awards we have the latest facilities including, hand machine engraving, computerised engraving, sand blasting
and sublimation all onsite, with all work carried out by our highly skilled craftsmen.

I'm not sure on how to best layout my engraving?
We have over 40 years of hand and machine engraving experience, this experience allows us to decide on the best layout, sizing of any logo and spacing the required text to fill the engraved item. You can specify any requirements or ideas you may have at the time of order.

What Is Origination?
Origination is the process of converting a visual image into a digital file. A lot of work is needed to tidy up and replace areas of the image to ensure the quality of the finished engraving is perfect. We can work from bad or coloured artwork but the origination/artwork process takes much longer which can increase the cost and lead times.

Do I Need To Supply Artwork?
Artwork is only required in the event of a specific emblem/logo. Please see above for the files accepted as artwork. An artwork charge may apply if the desired image to be engraved is not suitable or not of the correct format.

What Is Your Turnaround Time?
The turnaround time is dependant on several factors which differ from order to order, therefore an estimated turnaround time will be given at the time of order specific to your requirements. If a specific turnaround time is required please state at the time of order to the customer services team.
